Blessed be the blood of christ!
Welcome to the youth page of Community of the Blood of Christ in
Vojvodina! This page is dedicated to the Precious Blood of Christ. Holy
Scripture mentions very often the Blood of Christ. The
real
meaning of this expression is the person of Jesus in act of giving his life for
us. With his life, death and resurrection, he has reconciled the people with God
and among them. We are celebrating this Precious Blood, that Jesus shed for us
to save us from the darkness and give us eternal life.
When we are talking about the spirituality of the Blood of Christ, we intend the
love of God the Father which is present in our life trough the generosity of
Jesus. The Cross and the Chalice are very meaningful symbols for us. In his
Cross
we are finding the strength to accept the will of God in our life. The Chalice
is inviting us to unite our loneliness and abandonment with that of Jesus, and
in this way to take part in the work of redemption, together with him. The Blood
of Jesus we are celebrating in the Eucharist and in other sacraments. We find it
in the Bible, and we also recognize its presence in our own pain and in that of
our neighbor...
The Community of the Blood of Christ is the catholic movement of lay people,
priests, religious, persons of different age and professions, and also the
entire groups. The Community of the Blood of Christ is founded in the year 1808,
when the
canonic Francesco Albertini, together with Saint Gaspar del Bufalo, founded the
Confraternity of the Most Precious Blood in Rome.
Saint Gaspar founded the Congregation of the Missionaries of the Precious Blood,
which are taking care of the Community of the Blood of Christ even now.
After the II Vatican council, the Community of the Blood of Christ renewed its
Statutes and received the approval by the Apostolic See. It is possible to
participate in the community in one of the following branches:
a)
"Prayer Community of Blood of Christ" (personal and community prayer in the
spirit of the Community of the Blood of Christ)
b) "Missionary Community of the Blood of Christ" (weekly meetings with common
meditation of the Holy Scripture, exchange of spiritual experiences, charitable
o apostolic actions in the parish)
c) "Community of the
Collaborators of the Blood of Christ" (full consecration to God in mission,
living in the world, in family or as single person, in close collaboration with
the missionary house, lead by the Missionaries of the Precious Blood)
In our dioceses of Subotica and Đakovo (vicariate Srijem) the Community started
its presence in the year 1995, in following parishe
s:
Bačka Palanka (diocese of Subotica), Šid (diocese of Đakovo – vicariate Srijem).
One year later has been founded the first youth group in Petrovaradin. In the
year 2001 has been organized coordination of the youth groups for the regions of
Bačka and Srijem, uniting the young people from those regions. In the region of
Vojvodina the youth groups exist in different places. In the diocese of Subotica
they are present in the parishes: Bački Petrovac, Futog, Subotica, Vajska, Vrbas;
and in the diocese of Đakovo – vicariate Srijem in the parishes: Inđija, Šid,
Novi and Stari Slankamen. Our Community of young people is lead by Missionaries
of the Precious Blood, with central house in Zagreb.
The young people in Vojvodina generally belong to the Missionary groups, and
they are meeting once a week for the reflections about the Holy Scripture and
the prayer. But their activity, do not finish there. They have also their
specific mission in the Community. This mission consists in some charitable
work, or in the parish, like visiting the sick, helping the Missionaries, perish
priests and the mission in generally, or in ones own family.
We, young people tried to announce the Gospel in new and creative way. We
prepared the theater presentation as the mysterion, and with this program we
visited different parishes. We know that all of us are called to give glory to
the Lord, because he has done great things for us. By the Blood of his Son, we
are redeemed for the eternal joy!
The spirituality of the Blood of Christ today is diffused in the entire world.
That Blood is today offered on the altars. Jesus is sacrificing himself every
day during the Eucharist. The Blood of Christ, in silence and humble service is
permeating the Church of God as the life giving force.

The words of Missionaries of the Precious Blood that "nobody is to old, or to
young, or to sick, to offer 'its own drop of blood' together with the Blood of
Jesus, and in this way contribute to the salvation of the humanity " encouraged
also us, to invest our enthusiasm for the Blood of Christ.
